I will base this article on the non-Canon Book, the Gospel of St. Philip, Luke 8:26-37. These are passages that deal with demon possession. In Luke, we read that Jesus asked him. “What is your name? Legion, he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31 And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.
32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. 33 When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.” I introduced this passage to establish the notion of demon possession during the time of Jesus Christ. Also, it provides the concept that demons are spiritual beings and they don’t die.
St. Philip, one of the Apostles, wrote in great detail about the nature of the demons and who they desire to attach and possess. Before Noah and the flood, several angels left their station in Heaven to take beautiful women for their wives; the result was the birth of the Nephilim, who were described as giants. The fallen angels were captured and placed in a prison during the flood. The bodies of the giants died in the flood, but since they were also part angel, God had Mercy on them, but they were left to walk the earth as spirit beings. In time, they desired to occur in human bodies once again.
Verse 65 of the Gospel of St. Philip writes, “The forms of evil spirits include male and female ones. The males are they that unite with the souls which inhabit a female form, but the females are they which are mingled with those in a male form.” Here, we have the explanation for someone to say, “I am a female inside or a male inside.” The person is unknowingly confessing to the fact that a demon spirit of the opposite gender has attached itself to their body.
Modern-day psychology ignores the notion of demon possession and will make claims of being wired differently as if humans are robots. Their line of thinking only cements the demon’s possession. In contrast, the correct treatment is spiritual understanding and development, resulting in union with the Holy Spirit. Only reconciliation with God through Jesus Christ can cast out a demon once it has been attached. People who claim that they identify with a gender that is inside them and not their external physical body are like the man possessed by a demon called Legion. It was the demon that spoke out the man possessed. They are opening, admitting that the demon has a hold on them.

I don’t agree or disagree with this, i think this is an interesting view on this topic. I have never heard of the gospel of St.Phillip, but what he wrote was interesting he talked about demon possession. When he talks about the fallen angels being placed in prison and how god gave them mercy its shows how forgiving god is and it shows that he is loyal to people who believe in him.
I don’t really understand this blog to be honest.
I agree because when Jesus said that the demons went into the bodies of the pigs and drowned and when he was talking about how spirits can’t die and my last point is that fallen angels were captured and put in prison so there bodies died in a flood
This article has brought out some really interesting points, especially how the Gospel of St. Phillip and Legion in Luke are connected. It is definitely a unique take that demons are lingering spirits from the Nephilim and it raises a lot of questions about how spiritual forces operate. The part about male and female spirits attaching to opposite genders to influence identity might be a controversial point of view that everyone might not agree with. Modern psychology does tend to dismiss spiritual developments in favor of scientific reasoning but that doesn’t mean that both perspectives can’t co-exist. Maybe it is best that we keep an open mind and consider different possibilities instead of insisting on one explanation.
I disagree that people who identify as a different gender are admitting that a demon has a hold on them. I believe that people who identify as a different gender use these genders to express their emotions.
yes, I agree regarding reconciliation with god through Jesus Christ can generate a casting out a demon once an attachment has been formed. I believe this was an outstanding blog involving many details and info!
Zaheem B, this article talks about the birth of evil spirits, how they are born, and their desire to be put into other living beings. The article goes on to say that these beings, who are of a different gender, go into different genders of human beings, and that’s why when people said that they are different from what their body tells them, it’s because of a demon or an evil spirit has taken control of their body. I disagree with spirits taken over a person’s body to make them feel like they are a different gender, because I think it is the brain that ultimately decides what it feels like when someone feels differently, or it could just be the environment they were in while they were growing up that made them like that.
I like this article because it talks about the connection to the Nephilim and the notion of spirits seeking human bodies. In the article it states when Jesus interacts with a man possessed by demons, calling himself Legion” In verse 65 it also discusses the forms of evil spirits and their connection to human souls. These passages serve as the main evidence for demon possessions and implications.
So this demon possession article is based on this demon named Legion, and basically he possessed humans, whether male or female, but in Luke 8:26-37, he had pleaded with God not to send him into the abyss but rather to send his spirits into some pigs on the hillside feeding, and God gave them permission to do so. They ended up doing that and drowned in the lake. In the article, you mention that ” it provides the concept that demons are spiritual beings and they don’t die.” I believe that to be true, to be honest. They were two types of demons, males and females. The male demon would possess a female body, and the female body would be possessed by a male demon, but why though? What could be there reasoning, though? Does the body attract something the demon wants? Like he’s openly confessing that his external features are those of a female, but deep down his internals are those of a man. Are they openly confessing to being possessed by legion? “The person is unknowingly confessing to the fact that a demon spirit of the opposite gender has attached itself to their body.” The only way there is to correct this issue would be to turn to God and have a spiritual understanding and development that leads to a union with the Holy spirit. Only god can cast out a demon like mentioned above.
