A Small Change

Around the year 361 C.E., several words were removed from The Lord’s Prayer. Here is the original in Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke when giving the prayer to his followers. Notice these few words (as we, at this very moment, completely release all who have transgressed against us.)

“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgives us our debts as we, at this very moment, completely release all who have transgressed against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

Living with a roommate can be a journey full of surprises, learning, and growth. Now, imagine having a roommate who is always there to guide you, comfort you, and inspire you – someone who never leaves your side. This is what it means to have the Holy Spirit as your constant companion. In today’s world, where so much of our life happens online, the idea of spiritual online connections becomes even more meaningful. The Holy Spirit is not limited by physical space or time. Instead, the Spirit is present with us wherever we are, including in our digital lives.

Let’s explore how the Holy Spirit can be your online roommate, offering wisdom, peace, and encouragement as you navigate your spiritual journey in a connected world.

Embracing Spiritual Online Connections in Everyday Life

The digital age has transformed how we connect with others and how we experience community. For many, online spaces are where friendships grow, support is found, and faith is shared. But beyond human connections, there is a deeper spiritual presence available to us at all times. The Holy Spirit moves freely through all spaces, including the virtual ones.

When we talk about spiritual online connections, we are recognizing that God’s presence is not confined to church buildings or physical gatherings. The Spirit can meet us in a quiet moment of prayer on our phone, in a live-streamed worship service, or even in a thoughtful message shared in a chat group. This means that your spiritual growth can continue seamlessly, no matter where you are or what device you use.

Here are some practical ways to nurture your spiritual online connections:

  • Join online Bible study groups where you can discuss scripture and pray with others.
  • Use devotional apps that send daily encouragement and scripture reminders.
  • Participate in virtual worship services to feel connected to a larger faith community.
  • Share your faith journey through blogs, social media, or video messages to inspire others.

These activities invite the Holy Spirit to work through technology, making your spiritual life vibrant and accessible.

Born With No Food Comes Death

A newborn dies without food. Most people know that it needs to be fed after a child is born. How long can a newborn live without food? If we ask, how long can a newborn go without food? A Google search will give us this answer. “Newborns should not go more than 4–5 hours without eating, but the specific recommendation will depend on your baby’s weight and health status. Most pediatricians recommend waking a newborn to feed every 4–5 hours, but some babies may want to eat more often.” So the question arises: why do certain Christians think they have lovely spiritual lives saved by the Lord Christ and don’t need any form of solid food?

We have the following verses from the Gospel that may give us some answers: In John 3:3 (ESV), we read that “Jesus answered him, Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Here, Jesus is saying that a person can’t see the kingdom of God unless born again. We know that a newborn baby can see but does not yet know its world. As already mentioned, a baby needs food. In Matthew 4:4, where Jesus says, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.’” Here is a mention of food: bread alone is not enough, and we need the word of God to live.

Once again, we notice that the newborn will die unless it is fed food. We read that food is the very word of God. Let me repeat every word of God. Now, Jesus is God, and what words proceeded from His mouth that would be food? In John 6:53 (KJ), it is written, “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily I say unto you, unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, ye have no life in you.” When Jesus first spoke these words, many people walked away from Him, finding it hard to believe. Today, we still have people who refuse to believe this, yet these are words from the mouth of God.

Finally, Jesus showed the apostles how you could eat his flesh and drink his blood. At the Last Supper, Jesus said, “Take, eat; this is my body.” Jesus, in his own words, said this IS my body. The word IS belongs to the verb BE. Therefore, Jesus clearly says this be my body and eat it if you want eternal life. Jesus is providing the food for the newborn Christian. Without it, Jesus said you have no life in you. Without life, a person is dead.

Like the newborn baby, unless the child is fed food, it dies. So, too, the born-again Christian who is a newborn in Christ must be fed to have life, or that newborn faith dies. To have eternal life, a Christian needs to eat the body of Christ that the Holy Spirit now provides as a Eucharist. God bless and enjoy the eternal life-giving meal.

Please Help

I am part of a Bereavement Ministry at St. Thomas Apostle, helping people who have lost a loved one to recover. With the help of Community Fusion LLC and non for profit organization, we are looking to raise money to pay for books for those grieving. A tax-free donation of $15 would purchase a single book. Here is a review of my book Protect and Serve available on Amazon by Dylan Ward of The US Review of Books.

“They began to pray that something would take place very soon so that they could change their lives for good.”

Author Raimondo returns with an intriguing second novel based on two Bible verses, Matthew 25:40 and 25:45, weaving together a surprisingly uplifting tale of spirituality exploring the ramifications of crime and punishment. The Lord walks among the city streets disguised as a “Homeless Man,” wearing white shoes emblemed with blood-red crosses on their sides. He keeps a close watch on two Italian detective cousins, fresh from a big win in a major case but inexplicably nicknamed with “infamous monikers”—Alfonzo Hitali (Hitler) and Mose Dalini (Mussolini). The detectives patrol while engaging in deep debate as they protect and serve their city. One night, after meeting two prostitutes, the four encounter the Homeless Man. It is a life-changing moment that develops unexpected relationships and positive futures.

Meanwhile, recent crimes against children anger Al and Mose’s mafia uncle, Chich the Key. As the detectives become embroiled in a major new case, their uncle enacts a plan of revenge against the potential perpetrators. As Raimondo steadily builds the tension, Al and Mose find themselves walking a fine line between loyalty to their careers amid their uncle’s nefarious dealings and embracing new loves.

Though plot-heavy and action-driven, Raimondo’s book is a convincing, atmospheric detective mystery with fleshed-out characters who discover more about themselves and their beliefs when thrust into difficult situations. Clearly, the author’s faith factors into this tale full of drama and romance, especially with the fascinating and thought-provoking debates of good and evil between Al and Mose. As Raimondo states in his acknowledgment, this second book of the Least of Brothers series is just “part of an ongoing saga,” so readers and fans certainly have something to look forward to with the next stimulating book in this growing series.

Electric Cars Scam

Electric Cars Are A Scam for utility companies and people like Elon Musk, who owns charging stations. The average person worldwide is being made to believe your gas car runs on gas. That is a half-truth your gas car runs on electricity. You can have a full gas tank, and your car won’t start without a battery. If Elon Musk, whom many people seem to think is a billionaire hero, is really a major con man. He owns the Tesla charging stations, so you need to recharge your battery. But if this con man, also the CEO of Space X, was honest, he would add the one thing in your gas car, and your EV would never need charging, which would really help the environment. Now very machinic knows the one thing you gas car needs to keep the electricity flowing, so your car keeps running. All Musk needs to install is two parts; your EV never needs charging.

MATT 25-40

Here is what happened in the Garden of Eden and why Adam is responsible for sin even when the blame should be on Eve. Let’s look at what happened in Genesis 3: 1-7; we read, “Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden?”

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”

“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.

Notice first that the serpent could speak and not until later had legs and could walk. The serpent says to Eve, not Adam, and he lies to her. What is it that finally sells Eve to eat the forbidden fruit but the desire to be like God? She wanted more than her present condition; she wanted to be a God, the first sin of self-idolatry. Every day, we see this very same desire wanting more than you have and being great and powerful without being grateful for what you have. Since that very day, women have always sought the better provider. She eats first and now gives it to Adam, who is standing by. Adam’s mistake first is not rebuking the serpent. Instead, he quietly listens to the conversation. He also fails to ask, how do we know she won’t die, perhaps he does not know to ask the question. However, he still had the option to say no. Adam’s sin is weakness and failing to stop his wife from disobeying. Some theologians even suggest that the serpent had sex with Eve, further suggesting Adam’s cowardice and comparing it to women today who have sex while their weak husbands watch.

Today we see the constant emasculation of man by the serpent spirit to put the female children of Eve in the same dominant role that caused the fall. Adam was responsible for Eve. God had placed him in the garden to take care of it. “The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it.” (Genesis 2:15) Therefore he was to take care of Eve as well but he failed. Contrary to what the liberal left would like us to believe that masculinity is no good. The proper rule is for masculinity to prevent evil and protect people from it and not to submit to it. As a result, Adam is blamed for the fall of mankind and not Eve who was both seduced to disobey and became the seducer to cause Adam to disobey. I am sure she said to Adam after eating, “See I didn’t die!”
