Around the year 361 C.E., several words were removed from The Lord’s Prayer. Here is the original in Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke when giving the prayer to his followers. Notice these few words (as we, at this very moment, completely release all who have transgressed against us.)

“Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgives us our debts as we, at this very moment, completely release all who have transgressed against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
